Meet Mrs. Moore

My name is Kristen and I am from the wonderful southern state of Tennessee! I have roots in both Nashville and Knoxville and I L-O-V-E both of these cities! Country music and the Tennessee VOLS, what else can you ask for?! I am currently a first grade teacher going into my sixth year of teaching (YIKES! How does time go by so fast?). I started out teaching kindergarten and my little heart broke in half when I moved to first. UNTIL...I realized that my heart was oh so happy in first and it was an even better fit for me!

Last year I also made a big move career-wise. I decided to leave my first teaching job in the inner city to teach at another school closer to my home. While I had anxiety about being in a new place and leaving the people and kids I loved so much, it has turned about to be an amazing move! God always has perfect timing and I have learned to always put my trust in him to guide me. My new school is great in every way and has given me a different perspective which I needed to grow as an educator.

I have my masters degree from The University of Tennessee (Again, GO VOLS!). The wonderful teaching program I went through has kept my heart in early childhood education and development. Each day I strive to create a caring, safe, and family-like environment for the kiddos in my class. Watching them grow each day is truly a joy and it makes every bit of my job worthwhile. I think that starting this journey into the blogging and TpT world will help me to grow and change for the better as a teacher and a person.

Outside of my teaching life, I am a wife to wonderful and sweet hubby! We have been married for one and a half blissful years! We met in college and have been in love ever since. God truly blessed me with man that could support my crazy and wild ideas! We love to travel when we get a chance and see new places. We are hoping to expand our travels to some different places across the country this year! Any suggestions are certainly welcome!

Our Wedding Day at Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville!

Our Family!

We also have a fur baby! Meet Jake, our sweet chesapeake golden retriever. He has pretty much been with us since the beginning. He is loyal, smart, and ever so CHILL. However, occasionally, he is a whiner. He loves attention, but who doesn't? :)

Isn't he a cutie?

I absolutely don't know what I would do with my friends. Teacher friends and non teachers, they keep me going! God truly knew what he was doing when he surrounded me with such loving friends along with amazing family members. Workouts, dinners, travels, advice and fun...friends & family bring a certain element of joy that can't be replaced!

That is about it folks! Cheers to a wonderful new adventure into the blogging world! Email me at mooretolearnbykristen@gmail.com if you have any questions or suggestions. I would love to know what you would like to see more of as blog viewer and a TpT customer.
